Spirituality Groups

Bible Study:
A study group that is open to all members of the Immaculate Conception Community. Meetings are held every Monday at 10:00 A.M. Participants review various passages of scripture, discuss their meanings and apply them to life experiences.

Rosary:
A group of parishioners who prays to the Blessed Mother, especially through the Rosary. Their motto is, “To Jesus through Mary,” according to St. Louis de Montford. They meet every Thursday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Carmella Hebert’s home, 505 Ave J, Marrero. Every third Thursday of the month, Rev. Denzil Perera gives a morning of reflection.

Vocation:
A parish vocation committee who works to foster the growth of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The members organize parish and school activities for National Religious Vocation Week.

Charismatic:
A group of parishioners who celebrates the actions of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Regular meetings are held according to the group’s needs.

Blue Army:
A chapter of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima who promotes the message of Our Lady of Fatima and strives to fulfill her requests: First Saturday Fatima Devotions, daily rosary and wearing the brown scapular. The Archdiocesan Director is Rev. Denzil Perera and the Marrero Chapter President is Carmella Hebert.

Third Order of Mount Carmel:
A chapter of the Third Order of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel who chooses to live out their baptismal promises according to the spirit and traditions of the Carmelite Order. The members of the Immaculate Conception Chapter are called by God to follow Jesus and to be deeply involved in the mission of the church through the charisms of community, prayer and ministry. They live their vocation by listening to the word of God and sharing in the prayers and works of the entire Carmelite Order. The community provides support for their spiritual journey in the workplace and where they live.

Servites:
A secular order of the Servants of Mary founded by a group of seven nameless men. They were uniquely canonized as one. It is an order rooted in fraternity and service. The inspiration and model for the order is the Sorrowful Mother, Mary. As a secular order, they strive to emulate the love and devotion Mary exhibited at the foot of the cross. Saint Anthony Pucci Secular Community meets on the third Sunday of every month. They extend an invitation to everyone interested in growing in spirituality.

Mary’s Helpers:
A group of men and women who endeavors to enhance the world following the direction of the Blessed Virgin Mary. CST programs are broadcasted on the World Wide Web at http://www.wtix690.com every Sunday at 6:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. Join Mary’s Helpers at 4512 Seventh St., Marrero in the Chapel for prayer at Noon and 3:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday.
