Liturgy & Worship

Altar Servers:
A service organization that is open to boys and girls in Fourth Grade through High School. They assist at Mass. Meetings are on the first Saturday of the Month.

Ladies Altar Society:
A service group which devotes time and effort to the care and preservation of the sacred vessels, linens and vestments for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Providing the sacred hosts and maintaining the altar surrounds are accomplished through various fund-raising activities. Members participate in special Masses, weekly cleaning chores and fund-raising. Meetings are on the second Monday of every other month.

Choir:
Adult and children’s choirs provide music for the liturgy. The adult choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings in church from 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. They provide the music for the 9:00 A.M. Sunday Mass. The children’s choir is open to any child in 4th thru 8th grade. Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons from 3:15 P.M. - 4:30 P.M. in Hebert Hall. The children sing once a month for Sunday liturgy.

Ushers:A service organization of men and women attending to hospitality. They assist at the weekend Masses by taking up the collection, selling candles and escorting members of the congregation to their seats.

Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion:
A ministry that calls upon its members to assist the parish by reading the Word and administering Holy Communion at Masses. The extraordinary ministers bring the Eucharist to the homebound. All readers and extraordinary ministers must be trained by the Archdiocese.
