Parish
Religious Education
and Academic Education
Parish School of
Religion (PSR):
Our goal is to instruct the children in our parish family who do
not attend Catholic schools, as a community of believers in the
Catholic faith. The instructions include faith-enriching
experiences, such as liturgies, faith instructions, prayer,
sacramental preparation, discussions leading to moral awareness
and community service. Parents as primary educators are
involved at all levels. Our parish provides this PSR program to
help parents fulfill their obligations as primary educators of our
Catholic Faith. The cooperation between parents and teachers
will result in responsible behavior essential for the growth of
the student as a contributing member of the Christian community.
The volunteer group provides religious instruction for school age
children on Tuesdays at 6:30 P.M. throughout the school year.
Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults (RCIA):
A program for adults 16 years of age or older who are interested
in becoming Catholics and for adult Catholics who have not made
their First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation. Classes are held
on Sundays from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. beginning after Labor Day
and ending with the Easter Vigil. Call the Rectory (341-9516) for
more information.
School Board (ICS):
Are consultative bodies to the Pastor, the Principals and the
Pastoral Council. They promote the welfare of the parish schools
by advising and assisting the Pastor and the Principals in their
responsibilities for the schools. In conjunction with the
Archdiocesan school policy they help develop local policy, long
range planning and financing.
PTO (ICS):

their teachers who unite in the interest of school matters. The
purpose of this team is to meet the needs of the students and
improve parent-teacher relations.

encourage and involve those associated with ICS. The men work to
satisfy the needs of the school, its students and families.
